Embedded QA Tester
The QA Team works within an Agile development cycle to maximize speed, efficiency, and communication. The position requires a strong knowledge of QA methodologies and practices as well as the ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks at the same time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend sprint planning sessions and help guide the test process.
- Plan and execute testing sessions with the development team.
- Coordinate feedback cycles for the team.
- Identify and define test tools and possible test automation areas for new (and established) features.
- Monitor and report progress of test requests across various features.
- Create test passes and coordinate their completion by external vendors; requesting and planning for additional resources as needed.
- Assist QA Management in improving (and sometimes creating) test procedures and processes.
- Communicate and coordinate activities with team members and other departments.
- Providing testing and feedback from concept to feature release for your assigned areas.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance environment.
- Experience with bug database software.
- Experience with Kanban and the Scrum/Agile development model.
- Understanding of the product release process.
- Experience working with external testing vendors.
- Creative and analytical thinker.
- Ability to communicate and coordinate between multiple teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, fluid environment with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with debug logs both with providing and identifying important information
- Familiarity with the different components of a video game and ability to identify which team might own a problem
