Game Designer at Booz Allen Hamilton

Serve as a mid-level game designer to support product design and development. Work closely with a group of artists and software developers in a fast-paced team environment, designing and developing solutions for multimedia products for multi-user applications, 3D simulations, and virtual environments. Develop interactive capabilities for standalone and Web-based gaming applications using C# and the Unity 3D gaming engine. Leverage experience with using object-oriented principles. Work with clients to develop and implement novel solutions to complex and open-ended problems in training courseware enhancement or development, work in an excellent team environment as a mentor for junior team members, develop applications in prototype and production configurations, and produce robust software for novel applications. Meet development schedules and support the integration and test of the developed software. Participate in design reviews and create software documentation for the software under development.

Basic Qualifications:
-4+ years of experience with game design using Unreal, Unity, CryTek, or equivalent 3D engines
-4+ years of experience with developing or designing and testing games or gaming software solutions for console, PC, or mobile platforms
-Experience with GUI design
-Experience with portfolios or demo reels and demonstrating gaming development
-Knowledge of software development lifecycles (SDLCs)
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BS degree in Game Design, CS, or Computer Engineering or 4+ years of experience with game design and development in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with Web development in HTML, Dreamweaver, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, C#, or Java
-Experience with Web 2.0 development
-Experience with game, instructional design, and learning management systems (LMS)
-Experience with Unity 3D, iPhone, and Android gaming development and deployment
-Experience with SCORM 2004 and 508 Compliance
-Knowledge of optimization problems
-Ability to be a highly motivated self-starter
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
