Game Studio Test Engineer at Pokémon Company

The  Pokémon Company International is looking for a game tester to work with us to provide support on challenging test problems in a dynamic and exciting environment. We are responsible for testing mobile and PC games developed in-house at TPCi. We are looking for someone to own large feature areas and deliver high quality and timely testing to help make our games great. Primary Responsibilities

• Strong background in writing test documentation, including test specs and cases from the ground up.

• Deliver on other needed documentation.

• Own product areas.

• May design/write/execute test tools, automation and/or business intelligence reports

• Analyze test results and adjusts test cases accordingly.

• Find and report bugs.

• Uses knowledge of user needs and competing games to influence product direction and contributes significantly to product specification.

• Collaborate with partner teams in testing the product.

• Utilizing white box testing techniques.

• Effectively communicate & report feature quality and state.

• Proactively look for holes in test coverage.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

• The ability to work well in a team environment.

• 3+ years of games testing experience.

• Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.

• Be driven and positive, with the ability to thrive and deliver in a fast-paced, innovative and creative environment.

• Experience shipping 3 or more software products.

• Passion for technology.

• Passion for gaming.

Education

• BA Degree in relevant field and/or equivalent working experience.

• Certification in test process is a plus.
