About Splash Damage
Splash Damage is an independently-owned studio, and we're all about crafting engaging multiplayer experiences. Most recently, we've launched our multiplayer shooter Dirty Bomb on PC and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on Xbox One. We’re now working on several high-profile projects on PC and console and are looking for superstars to help make them great.
The Role
As the QA Manager, you will be an integral part of the studio, ensuring that our projects are free of game breaking bugs and that all of our project milestones are delivered on time and to an exceptional standard. You’ll understand the intricacies of the development process, and have exemplary knowledge of testing practices that you will ensure are being used throughout the studio. You’ll have excellent interpersonal skills, and be responsible for representing the Production Testing department in communications with external partners and clients.
Establish QA workflows throughout the studio
Ensuring that the various QA teams are kept informed of relevant information
Client/partner facing communications
Managing staff development
Work closely with Production to establish milestone and deliverables criteria
Essential Skills and Experience
Passionate about multiplayer/PVP
Ability to plan and prioritize work within tight time constraints in a high pressure environment
Good verbal and written communication skills
Experienced using Jira and Confluence
Strong attention to detail and the ability to document technical instructions
Team-oriented and professional when dealing with other members of the company and community if required
Intimate knowledge of testing practices and methods
Excellent interpersonal and team management skills
At least 3 years’ experience in a Senior or Lead QA role with a development studio
Good understanding of development using current generation consoles and PCs
Flexibility in regard to hours of work (If required the job holder will be expected to work outside normal office hours, including weekends and/or bank holidays if necessary)
Desirable Skills and Experience
At least 5 years’ experience within the games industry
Computer games technology degree or similar related degree
Player focused
UDK, UE4 familiarity
