QA Tester (Temp) Quality Assurance

Role Overview:
Glu Mobile is looking for a Quality Assurance Tester to help test our features updates, bug fixes, and upcoming game projects. The chosen candidates will be responsible for executing QA procedures to help ensure the highest level of quality in our projects. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within the mobile video game industry.. Applicants must be available to work on weekends. The ideal candidate is someone that is trustworthy, positive, patient, professional, motivated, and an avid online multiplayer game enthusiast.
Responsibilities:
- Support rapid deployment of hot fixes and scheduled content releases in an online services environment
- Ensure clear and consistent communication is maintained between development, production, and operations teams
- Help manage, develop, and improve processes and procedures within the department
- Assist in day to day testing of the product
- Help improve the client performance testing process
- Perform daily client performance testing and tracking of results
- Find and report issues/bugs/inconsistencies
- Clarify issues (providing detailed information if necessary)
- Verify the resolution of issues through to the end of the testing process
- Assist in the generation and execution of test cases
- Perform scripted, ad hoc, and regression testing
- Enter and maintain bugs via our bug tracking system
- Provide well thought out and constructive game play feedback
- Follow up with community reported bugs, investigate the issue, and report issues to Developers
- Work with developers on an individual level to help understand & troubleshoot problematic issues
Qualifications:
- 4+ year testing experience in the games industry required
- Very strong attention to detail
- Willingness to work long and odd hours
- Strong time and task management skills
- High level of motivation
- Strong work ethic
- Basic understanding of free to play games
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent problem identification and solving ability
- Ability to work within a team and individually
- Ability to write detailed and accurate test plans
- Ability to stay focused when handling repetitive and monotonous tasks
- Ability to manage multiple assigned tasks
- Facebook, Android and iOS game experience
- Car enthusiast is a plus
