QA Tester at Blind Squirrel Entertainment

Blind Squirrel Games is looking for intelligent and highly motivated Testers to support games we work on. The ideal candidate would have technical/troubleshooting skills and an understanding of quality assurance.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take ownership of a small feature and
• Craft feature test plans and traceable test cases
• Work closely with senior QA personnel to learn development practices
• Identify test cases that may be automatable
• Identify process improvements and communicate them with the team
• Provide testing estimates for features based on scope and complexity
• Ability to generate and present data-driven reports
• Advocate quality player experiences in the face of opposition
• Other duties may be assigned to accomplish company or department objectives.

Experience:

1+ years Quality Assurance, PC and/or console testing, application testing, or equivalent

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or comparable industry experience

Other Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrated software / hardware troubleshooting ability
• Good communication skills
• Unrelenting drive to create awesome player experiences
• Strong analytical skills

Pluses

• Knowledge of C++ and scripting languages
• Working knowledge of JIRA and DevTrack
• Test automation experience
