Quality Assurance Tester at Fantasy Flight Interactive
The Quality Assurance Tester will be responsible for performing day-to-day testing in support of our games in development.
Responsibilities:
- Receive builds from the Development team and prepare them for the Production team.
- Develop and execute a regular test plan.
- Communicate bugs and issues with the Development team.
- Provide gameplay feedback on subjects including but not limited to fun factor, user interface, difficulty, and usability.
- Understand fundamental game principles well enough to perform directed ad-hoc and scenario testing with minimal oversight.
- Serve as a liaison between the Development and Production teams.
- Gather and contribute testing data.
- Provide verbal and written feedback to both teams on the status of the game.
Qualifications:
Basic
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated and responsible.
- Able to collaborate with a variety of other teams.
- Demonstrated capability in executing test cases and writing defect reports.
- Self-driven, meticulous and curious in nature.
- Ability to prioritize in a complex and fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Able to demonstrate attention to detail and be meticulous in organizational skills.
- Prior experience testing live service games.
- Passion for and knowledge of games and digital/online entertainment.
- Passion for data and innovation.
- Familiarity with one more Agile methodologies.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum High School diploma.
- Experience as a tester or developer in the Unity game engine.
- Prior experience with software quality assurance
- Familiar with at least one scripting language (Java, Lua, Powershelgl, Python, or Ruby); or equivalent skill such as creating game mods.
- Experience testing at least one game.
