The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst works with product managers, project managers, software development and other testers to support the development process. The Senior Analyst analyzes functional requirements and design documents, and interacts with the business to develop test plans and test scripts. The Senior Analyst executes the test scripts, reporting and tracking software defects/issues and resolutions. The Senior Analyst supports the business during user acceptance testing and beta testing including responding to questions, training needs and reviewing found defects. This person assists in the creation and maintenance of the automated testing scripts. The Senior QA Analyst mentors the Quality Analysts on test documents, software testing principles and product support. The Senior Analyst performs in a QA lead capacity on projects and on department initiatives/improvements in addition to:
Participates in project meetings to review requirements and performs research on current processes as needed. Provides support for all systems (i.e. Host, TCAdvisor, Liberty) used to maintain our client applications.
Plans and prioritizes test scripts to ensure the most critical components of the application are being tested. Leads the development of a comprehensive test strategy, and works in partnership with a cross-functional team to define, and complete testing deliverables.
Presents identified project defects/potential improvements to project team participants for review. Reviews system data and product quality to ensure integrity.
Mentors other department members on department and IT procedures.
Participates in product demonstrations, IT and QA process improvement recommendations, and training other analysts as needed.
Participates in production regression and software update testing during implementation releases as needed. Participates in disaster recovery testing when needed.
Prepares and conducts automated test scripts on the most critical client-facing applications as needed.
