Software Quality Assurance Tester at iBeta

We're looking for someone with experience in Web testing, with strong back end (SQL) skills, who is tech savvy, possesses a curious and skeptical tester's mindset, has excellent communication skills, has strong exploratory testing skills, and possesses the ability to plan and execute testing using a context-driven approach.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manually test the functionality of a web-based front end and SQL back end software.
• Dynamically adapt test approach to the context of each project.

• Perform exploratory testing.

• Develop and execute test cases, document results.

• Log clear, reproducible bug reports.
• Advocate for bugs throughout the resolution process.

• Work with Test Manager and other Testers to ensure timely testing coverage according to project schedules.

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to pass a background credit check

• 2+ years Quality Assurance testing

• Strong SQL and Database skills

• Experience testing on mobile platforms (Android and iOS)

• Experience building and executing test plans and cases
• Experience managing test plans and cases

• Experience testing reporting systems

• Automation testing experience a plus

• Experience working amidst Agile and Waterfall methodologies

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

• A curious and skeptical tester's mindset

• 2+ years software testing experience on complex applications

• Ability to follow direction, take ownership of assignments, and work well with others

• Willing to work independently and remotely with little to no supervision

• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical people at various levels

• Clear and concise documentation skills

• Ability to operate in situations with ambiguous or incomplete information

• Detail oriented
