Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will manage a team in charge of developing, supporting and maintaining in-house libraries and tools that support all the online features available within Gameloft games, such as authentication, social network interactions, messaging, multiplayer, and others. This is one of the game industry's biggest online platforms, with 17 million daily active users and nearly 10 billion requests per day across our various data centres.
The position is based at the Gameloft Montreal studio.
The main tasks consist of:
Supervising a 15-person team
Distributing work and managing multiple projects for the World Online Platform team, while collaborating with many other teams abroad
Communicating with various stakeholders about the team's issues and technical choices
Sharing information about the state of the online platform, primarily in the case of an incident
Implementing Quality Assurance: best practices for development processes, for releases on testing and production environments, as well as for general platform support
Suggesting, documenting and implementing procedures for reporting, auditing, and managing the global network
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in technology-sector project management, combined with 3 years of experience in team management
Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English
Excellent organisational and analytical skills, allowing high-quality projects to be delivered within tight deadlines
Creative, practical problem-solving to overcome obstacles and ensure project development
Strong ability to explain technical details to decision-makers who are less technically minded
Leadership skills, strong motivation, and bold decision-making
Client -oriented mindset
Rational and clear-headed demeanour when working under pressure
Diplomatic and able to resolve conflict
Assets:
At least 3 years of experience in software project management using agile methodologies (Scrum, Sprint)
Strong knowledge of agile methodologies
Knowledge of other foreign languages
